How to Access your Account Online
Once your Online Access request is completed by our office, you will receive the following instructions by e-mail from our head office regarding Online Access.
Internet Login Instructions:
- Visit Scotia OnLine at www.scotiaonline.scotiabank.com
- Enter their 16 digit ScotiaCard number without spaces.
- Enter one of the following:
- Your existing Scotia OnLine SSL password
- Your newly obtained SSL password
- Your temporary password, as provided within their fulfillment Email. (Temporary password is valid for 30 days)
- On entering your temporary password, you will be prompted to choose a new, permanent password that is 5-8 digits in length. Please make a note of this new password, as it will be used each time you login to Scotia OnLine in the future.
- If you no longer have your temporary password, then please visit www.scotiaonline.scotiabank.com and select 'New/Forgotten Password' and follow the new password set-up procedure as described above.
4. Click on Enter Scotia OnLine.

Go to: www.scotiaonline.scotiabank.com and select 'New/Forgotten Password' and follow the new password set-up procedure as described above.
If you prefer to speak with a Customer Service Representative to re-set your password, Please call 1-800-830-3838 and follow the prompts to password related inquiries. You will need to identify yourself as a ScotiaMcLeod OnLine client, provide your ScotiaCard number, and request a new password. The Customer Service Representative will guide you through a password selection utility.
E-Records (PaperLess Records)
Clients have the ability to sign up for Scotia eRecords which allows you to access your ScotiaMcLeod statements, Annual Trading Summary and trade confirmations, including mutual fund prospectuses in electronic format (PDF) instead of receiving them by mail. All documents will appear just like the paper versions and can be printed in colour.
Set up E-Records via Scotia OnLine
Clients can enrol for eRecords service via the Brokerage Preferences tab within the Profile and Preferences menu of Scotia Online. Once you have signed up, you can search for your documents via the Document Search link within the Accounts and Transfers tab or Account History link.
Once you have accessed the Accounts and Transfers tab, you simply select document preferences. Then select paperless for "all" accounts or by account.
Note: Paperless preferences will not be activated until the client agrees to the Terms for Electronic Document Delivery in Scotia Online.
